The Port (Red Wing)

If any of you Twin Cities folk find yourself in Red Wing you have to stop in at "The Port". Everything I've ever eaten there is amazing but most of all you must try the Kobe Beef sliders. You can only order these if you sit in the bar but their bar is very welcoming. I don't have any pics but they are decent sized on a homemade roll topped with an amazing bacon dijonaise that will knock you on the floor, they also throw in a side of pomme frites with a house pepper catsup. Best of all they are only $4 a piece. The atmosphere can be a bit stuffy in the formal dining area so I usually stick to the bar. They also have a wonderful ceasar salad topped with braised pork belly which is a wonderful experience in its self. Entrees can be bit pricey ($18-32) however the old saying "you get what you pay for" couldn't be more spot on when talking about The Port.
