Porky's BBQ in Inglewood.

Wes | Mar 30, 200605:36 PM

I happened to drive by yesterday after lunch so I gave it a try today.

My S.O. and I have been looking for a pulled pork sandwich similar to ones we had on a Florida Vacation for several years.

I think I've found it! The sandwich was tasty and huge, a great combo. The sauce had the slight vinegar flavor I've been looking for. It is 10oz of flavorful pulled pork, slathered in sauce, and topped with coleslaw. (Yes, COLEslaw, not COLDslaw.) Being a "Yankee" I had the slaw on the side.

I got a side of beans with it, which were only O.K. They were probably terrific but I am not fond of the style. Similar to Hogly's but larger portion and more meat slivers. Actually pretty good for that style.

Probably best for lunch since they warn about possibly running out of things.

I got the Hobo Platter (Not on the printed menu) to go and it looks good. It is a collection of everything in small pieces that are too small to serve alone. Comes with Texas Toast for $5.99. Weighed it when I got home because it felt heavy. 1lb 6oz counting cardboard boat and foil. Had a 1/2 meat pork rib and brisket. These covered the rest so I will have a surprise later this evening.

I recommend giving it a try.

See URL for address and menu. On Manchester a few doors West of Prairie on the South side of the street.
