Our group of about 16 people are planning a backyard Oktoberfest this next week. We usually go to a German restaurant but have decided to forgo that this year.

I had thought about bringing Jägerschnitzel but I'm concerned it will get soggy so I may switch to pork tenderloin with spaetzel and still have the Jäger sauce. I am debating on doing 'couple' portions instead of one big serving platter.

We want to celebrate with our friends before Winter sets in and want to do it safely. We also don't be overly uptight as it defeats the purpose of getting together.

Other dishes will be pretzels, sausage and sauerkraut, German potato salad, apple cake etc.

Has anyone attempted doing something like this? Do you have any suggestions?
