Pilsner Freshly Brewed In Philly!

Earth Bread + Brewery (7136 Germantown Ave, Philadelphia - Mt. Airy) have an organic pilsner in the tank and are set to tap it at the restaurant soon. Other than Triumph (Old City) this is the only pilsner currently being brewed within the city limits.

It is no secret that this style is particularly dependent upon freshness so as a fan and a Mt Airy resident I’m excited about having a pilsner available "from the teet". I am not sure whether it is a Czech or German style (or some hybrid) but I’m sure that it won’t be a disappointment. And while we’re talking local brewpub pilsner I want to give a shout to Sly Fox for their very good Charles Bridge Czech pilsner (which is on tap now at both of their brewpubs), and to Victory for their continued excellent “Braumeister” pilsner series.
