Had dinner tonight at Picholine - service superb - thanks to postings on this board, I ordered the foie gras appetizer, salmon entree and cheese platter - all superlative - plus 2 glasses of excellent wine - 1 white, 1 red - both recommended by sommelier - my husband had salad appetizer and really tender steak with 5 peppers (the sunday classic) plus the valrhona warm chocolate cake (note: it is not a souffle and does not need to be ordered ahead) with black pepper sorbet - he may never get another chocolate dessert, he says, because he has had the best
