Thankfully, Pho 777, the Vietnamese Noodle restaurant in Reno has reopened in the old Kim Son location down 2nd Street opposite Harrah's.
This space is much bigger, but all tables were occupied when we went there for lunch today. My wife had number 17, as usual (pork and shrimp), and I had a large bowl of chicken pho. It was good to see again the familiar faces of the staff who continue to work there.
Boy did we miss this while they were closed because of the fire. Lunch for two was $12.29, and the chicken pho is the best of any of the other Vietnamese places I've tried in town. Hope they thrive in the new location; we'll do our best to help by visiting frequently.
Now if the city would only move the chain link fences around the fire-damaged building up onto the curb/sidewalk so that those parking spaces could be used again.
P. S., I really feel sorry for the Blind Onion which must have invested a lot of money into their new space on the corner, only to have it closed down for months because of the fire that some idiot set.
