New Phillipino restaurant to open in N Rockville

LooLoo | Jul 17, 2005 12:02 AM

I drove up Rte 355 north - near the trash dump at Shady Grove Rd - and the strip where a Vietnamese restaurant had been for a year or 2 now has a big sign heralding the opening of a new Phillipino restaurant (sorry - I forget the name)...

I gather the Viet place (not just pho served) couldn't make it with all the local competition. In the past several years, I've noticed that so many of the small shopping strips around here have gone from having an (Americanized) Chinese restaurant to a pho place AND a pollo place.

Would Phillipino food taste close to Burmese/Malaysian?
