Pasteurized TJ's beet juice: "use within 3 days"?

lisaleira | Aug 2, 201612:11 PM     6

Hey Chowies!!
I got some bottles beet juice at Trader Joes. It says "flash pasteurized". It also says "use within 3 days of opening". I was surprised and confused- really?? If a juice is pasteurized do you really have to use it in 3 days? Why would this be different than other pasteurized juices? It was in the refrigerated section but 3 days seems like too short a period of time... It has been more than 3 days and I am wondering if I should just keep using it. The thing is beets always smell kinda weird so it's hard to tell. What do you think?? :)
