This may or not be a dumb question, but........as I was making pasta last night, I thought why can't I cook the pasta in the sauce the whole time? I had ample sauce and know it was enough for a pound of pasta. I know that the bucatini cooks for 7 minutes. Why do I need to boil the pasta first? Why not just put it in 7 minutes before the sauce is done? Anyone know if it will work and if not, why?
