Bentara closes it's doors after 20 years, Saturday, July 4.
Say what you will, but Bentara was a landmark restaurant, first Malaysian in Ct. maybe the N.E.. First Restaurant in 9th Square, New Haven. It's a sad day for food lovers whose first taste of those exotic flavors 20 years ago in that tiny place on Foxon Blvd. are still fresh in our memories to this day. Imitated but never surpassed. Thank you Jeff. No one will ever make me food as you did. And thank you Bill. You will be missed!
