Andy's Orchard in Morgan Hill had samples out of Paso Almond Brittle to try.

What a great product! The ingredients are simply almonds, butter and sugar, in that order by weight. Basically, it's a heap of roasted almonds bound together with light, buttery tasting toffee. And what almonds these are, tiny and intensely flavored from old, dry farmed trees.

I did not buy any at the time because I was on my way to Paso and SLO. Well, turns out that Andy's price of $7 for 8 ounces is the best around, even beating out the producer's ecommerce price. The Avila Family Barn in Avila Beach charges $7 for a 5-ounce package.
