Hundreds of supporters, investors and boutique beer
lovers descended on S.F's only microbrewery for their
5th Anniversary party. Hidden in a surburban style office park down by Candlestick and advertised mostly
by word-of-mouth, Speakeasy Brewery displayed why it has attracted a fanatical local following.
Pallets of bagged "premium 2 row malt" surrounded the party goers while they were traeted to unlimited pints
of the heavily hopped and bitter Public Enemy Pilsener,
Untouchable Pale Ale, Prohibition Ale and the menacing
Double Daddy IPA (9.7% alcohol).
For the "line-waiters", there was BBQ'd beef, foot long
hot dogs,bratwurst and fried turkey.
Food? Beer? Schwag? this event was not "Best of Anything" Just a friendly, mingly crowd enjoying beer,
barbecue and friends in a stealth location on a windy,
overcast SF summer weekend.
