Parker's Maple Barn, a talk with Ron

This is just a little rant/report about this famous restaurant in Mason, NH.

For those of you that don't know (and I was one of them), Parker's no longer serves dinner (as of June 1st, actually). I was dreadfully disappointed, and am sorry that the only way now to get in is to wait on long lines, or eat around 3 p.m. on weekends.

They still have their maple ribs, and of course their fine breakfasts. (If you're into waiting for breakfast.)

My wife and I have recently emailed the owner, Ron, and have found out that family health issues have arisen, and the reason dinner is no longer offered is because time has to be given to these issues.

While I think the wait during the 11:30-1:30 time precludes a lunch recommendation, off hours are still a good time to visit. I certainly hope that they will find the time to someday reopen during dinner hours. (with live music!) It will be missed this fall and winter.
