I went to astoria to look for Pao de Queijo after getting replys to my post on this board. I first went to Catina da lina (or Catina Brazil) at 31-90 30th street (just of broadway in Astoria). did not have them that day (sat). In addition they do not open till 11am, in Brazil I was used to Pao de Queijo for breakfast. The place smelled wonderful; and the women behind the counter was very helpful. I would love to go back for dinner sometime. She directed me to a Brazilian pizza place on 35th ave between 31st & 32nd streets. Unfortunatlly the had run out. I spoke to a few Brazilians in the shop who all told me that this was the best Pao de Queijo in the region, but that one has to reserve in advance. Oh well.
Quick question. Has anyone eaten dinner at Catina Brazil (or Catina da Lina)?
