Anyone have a most excellent recipe for pain perdu? I just had some at a wonderful restaurant (Ramos House Cafe in San Juan Capistrano, CA) -- the thickly-sliced french bread was perfectly moist and served with blackberry sauce, blackberries and whipped cream! Totally converted me... and I'm looking to recreate at home.
