Pacific Dining Car - Corkage fee - Report

Hugh Lipton | Aug 8, 2004 10:49 AM

Late in July we thoroughly discussed the issue of corkage. I just took my stepson to dinner for his birthday to the Pacific Dinig Car and took a bottle of 1986 Forman, Napa Valley Cabernet. Not an inexpensivce dinner. My wife and I split an appetizer. Each of my stepsons had a salad. Each of my stepsons had the steak-lobster combination ($44.95 a copy), wife and I split a steak (allright I'm getting old). Three drinks. No dessert.
NO CORKAGE!!! Don't know why and didn't ask. Total tab getting out of there with a $35 tip was $250.
