Oyster Boy--Shucking 101

I am sure someone has written about this before....

I took my fiance to OYSTER BOY on Queen W. for their well-known "Shucking 101" workshop on Sunday, December 5. For 45 dollars each (plus a few pints), it was a fun way to spend a few hours.
I was looking for something different to do for his birthday (other than just going out for dinner), and this hit the spot.
You get an informative talk, 18 oysters, a shucking knife to take home, and a kitschy t-shirt. How can you go wrong. We ate about 8-10 oysters each and then shucked and enjoyed the rest at home a few nights later.

It is only offered on Sats/Suns at noonish, you have to make a reservation...and they don't serve anything else (except bar is open)...

There were about 10 people there total, a small group and 2 other couples. It was fun, and now we know what to look for and what to do if we want to buy/serve oysters at home!!
