Overlooking the fairways at North Street Tavern, White Plains...

Have stopped into North Street Tavern several times over the past year and I always find it inviting. It is on the grounds of Maple Moor Golf Course, just off the Hutch. The bar, dining rooms and pleasant outdoor deck face the fairways and it can be lovely. There is a wood fired pizza oven outside where they prepare tasty thin-crusted varieties. We have tried two: the Sausage Pizza and the Napoletana with anchovy, fresh garlic, black olives, mozzarella cheese and tomato sauce. Very tasty, both! Also had their tall assembled version of Tuna Tartare with toast points. Fresh and herbal. Might want to try their Fish & Chips and Lobster Mac & Cheese down the line.
For now it is a great summer venue. www.northstreettavern.com
