Need opinions on Koi Palace vs. HKFL

gordon wing | Feb 3, 200511:15 PM     7

Have just spent the last half an hour reading many old posts about Koi Palace. I'm intrigued but also leery at the same time. Some friends (gweilo) have been asking me to go with them for a long time so I've been trying to figure out how to approach this place and have the best outing. I remember reading something about being there for the first seating or having to wait for a long time. On a Sunday morning does that mean arriving by say 10am?
Most of the posts were older - anyone have any recent experiences that they would care to share? I've never been to Koi Palace but I've had a really good lunch at Hong Kong Flower Lounge....should I just bag the visit to KP and head on down to HKFL?
