For years I've heard New Yorkers rave and rave about black-&-white cookies. I've had 'em, some bakeries, a number of delis. Tasty enough. But then a recent thread here mentioned that a bakery had great ones. So I was strolling down Bleeker St in the Village and dropped by Cosmo's and asked for a B&W. There was something wrong. The cookies were soft. And flavorful. And the frosting wasn't all hard and dry. And the white frosting tasted like something other than...white. And the chocolate tasted like chocolate. Now I understand. Only took me 14 years here to discover this.
