I was invited to attend a Mother's Day dinner at Oleana's this Sunday with three other couples; I have never been but have heard wonderful comments about the atmosphere, the chef and the food. The chef requested recipes from friends and mothers she considers to be wonderful cooks, therefore, it's not the usual Oleana menu.
While I think the idea is novel and creative, I'm not sure, because it will be my first visit, if this is a good idea or not; that is, it's not the menu I would find if I didn't visit on Mother's Day.
By the way, I hate dining out on Mother's Day--it's usually not a good idea, but Oleana has been doing this for four years now. What do you think and have you been before.
Oleana is located at 134 Hampshire Street in Boston. Thank you.
