Obsessed with Jerk

Lately I have been obsessed with the Jerk and have been making it over and over to perfect the flavor. My goal is to find the most authentic version of the spice mix and of course the one I think tastes the best. Right now I blend fresh scallions and garlic with dried thyme, black pepper, sugar, salt, allspice and cayenne. Next time I'm getting some scotch bonnets (in "some" I mean one.) But, should I add cinnamon, ginger or anything else? Any advice would be so appreciated.
