Five Palms - had eaten there years ago & remembered spectacular setting on the beach. They've expanded & greatly increased prices & attempt at fancy food. they should have stuck with basic fish & salad preparations was totally overreaching chef's talents & servers timing. Everything came out cold & over or under-cooked. But the sunset was spectacular!

Maui Tacos - Great as always, but wish they'd cut back on the rice in those burritos a little.

Palms- new restaurant on public golf course above Kihei - did not make it there, but read about chefs - one from Tavern on the Green & another with pedigree from upscale English restaurant I think. Interesting combo in Hawaii - wish we could have tried it - let me know if anyone has.

Cheeseburger! in Wailea Shops - weak burger, soggy buns, no Keikei menu - couldn't even do a toasted cheese sandwich - had to order a cheeseburger & hold the burger. Nasty margaritas, should I go on...???

Nick's Fishmarket at Kea Lani - Sat at the bar, drank Rombauer, shared ahi appetizer, shared lobster (so-so), another night shared local fish, which was delicious, I like it here!

Caffe Ciao! Market at Kea Lani - best food in any hotel - great chicken caesar wraps, grilled chicken & artichoke aoili & fontina sandwiches, coffees, ice cream, cheeses, salads, fruit, all freshly baked on the premises items & desserts - all take-out or eat there - great concept. Wish more hotels would do this.

Lunch at Seawatch sad - ahi not all that fresh. But the Mango Tango drink very yummy!

As Russkar said, not a whole lot to write home about food-wise on Maui, but I guess that's not why we go (it's for the mango daiquiris...)
