Noon Review

Tara305 | Oct 30, 2007 12:00 PM

I know the general opinion on Noon on this board doesn’t seem to be so high, but I have to say I was there the other week, and I had a great experience. I went on a recommendation of my neighbor who especially liked that Noon serves local and organic food. I ended up there with a group of 3 others on a Friday afternoon (1-2pm ish). There was no line up, but that’s probably because most people are at work at that time.

I had the procuitto omelet, and it was delicious. A nice level of saltiness combined with the freshness of fresh tomato. I'm considering never ordering anything else. The cheddar and bacon omelet was a little greasy, even for me, but then again, what do you except in a bacon and cheddar omelet? My friend had a summer sandwich and ceasar salad and she said it was “the best ceasar” she had ever had. Now she is prone to making bold statements, and may have been slightly giddy from the creamsicle milkshake, but still, she seemed to quite enjoy it. Oh, and I have to extol the virtues of the Sopressatta Hash. My boyfriend ordered it and it was HEAVEN. Greasy, but I’m young and I might as well enjoy greasy food while my metabolism is high.

The service wasn’t too bad. I never got my juice I ordered (but I arrived at the table late), and water for the table was slow to come, but the waiter seemed genuinely friendly and perhaps I have lower standards (being a grad student), but a few mistakes don’t bother me. Well, I was sad about my OJ, but I’ve since moved on.

I will return. Now this is partially due to the fact that it is around the corner from me, but all in all, if you’re in the neighborhood, stop by, it’s a cute little spot (especially the back patio).

(My first review! I hope it was ok!)
