Nook Bistro - Lunch

Hammy | Feb 25, 2005 06:41 PM

So I went to Nook today for lunch with a friend. We ordered the albacore sandwich and the flat-iron steak sandwich.

The steak sandwich was delicious. I don't consider these the "frites" I love (see earlier thread about steak frites) -- crisp, thin and ADDICTING. These were more like In-N-Out fries with parsley sprinkled on them. Not necessarily a bad thing as I love In-N-Out fries, but if I got these for my steak frites I wouldn't be jumping for joy.

Anyway, the albacore sandwich was good, but I don't know if it was a good cut ... parts of it were stringy and a bit unappetizing. Probably a result of ordering fish for lunch on a Friday, but still ... a slight mar to the otherwise great lunch.

The portions are gigantic! With my friend helping out on the fries front, could only finish 3/4 of the dish (and I consider myself a big eater).

Will definitely return (perhaps for dinner).
