Nomi review

Went last Sat. night. Was seated promptly. We think that this is a beautiful room. We were seated along the North wall which was great because of the miror on the wall. You know how you like to look at what other people are eating but don't want to stare? Mirror = problem solved. The food is great. The Scallop tart and the risotto apps were fabulous as was the chocolate share plate. I am hard to fill-up but could not squeeze in the cheese course. What a shame. Service was... well let me tell this story. Was making decisions on glasses of wine for the entire dinner. Had just finished deciding when our apps arrived. Was dismayed because even in the best of places your usually done eating the course by the time your matching glass of wine arrives. Not so at Nomi In mere seconds there were glasses on the table and a waiter with a wine bottle. BTW, all the wine by the glass choices were delicious. Service was outstanding. They have not skipped a beat since changing chefs.
The menu seems to have less items on it which is fine with me. Don't do a lot and do it well. I always worry about menus with 500 choices.
