Hello, I have a question
As part of a 2 week trip in early September, my wife and I will be spending one week in Nice and one week in Paris. I have been doing a lot of research but am finding there to be a significantly smaller set of resources for discussion on restaurants in and around Nice than for Paris. I have been using TA and the of course the wonderful CH board but discussions are fewer and father between for Nice.
Does anyone have any Go-To Nice restaurant resources they use? I don't speak/read French very well but I can muddle my way through resources in French so anything works for me.
My current options seem to be:
Best of Nice blog
And the occasional review from one of the many known Paris reviewers.
And of course, if anyone has actual restaurant recommendations we would love to hear them!
2 years ago in Nice, also in September we ate at:
Keisuke Matsushima - It was very good but also our first night in town and we may have been too tired to really appreciate it properly
Le Safari - Loved it! We ate here for lunch 3 times and we will go again
Bistro Du Port - Very good but won't go back
Cafe Turin - We Loved this place and went back a couple times for oysters and langoustines
La Reserve - The view was awesome but we thought the food was not as impressive as other places we ate, especially in terms of value
Taverne Massena - totally underwhelming
Le Bistro Gourmand - Fantastic meal!
Les Pechuers - Fantastic!
Chantecler - We did the tasting menu we we have to admit this was our most disappointing starred experience ever!
Thanks in advance for any assistance!
