Multi-course Minibar at Cafe Atlantico

Marty L. | Aug 23, 2003 05:57 PM

I've been hearing amazing word-of-mouth about Jose Andres' and Katusya Fukushima's new 34-or-so-course minibar meal (prix fixe about $65, I think) at Cafe Atlantico. Only six seats; heavily influenced by Adria "foaming," remarkably inventive/weird, etc. (Some wild accounts over at that other site.) I suppose it's a preview of the small, Laboratorio-like restaurant that Andres has been heard to be contemplating. Have any chowhounds been there yet? What can you tell us? Is this truly the most important meal currently available in D.C., as some have said? And, if so, does important = delicious?
