Moss Landing to Nipomo

marti | Aug 12, 200301:43 PM

While attending a conference at Asilomar, last week, I felt the need for "real food" since the powers that be, at Asilomar, don't have a clue. Drove to Moss Landing to Phil's Sea food market and restaurant for the very best Seafood Salad I have ever experienced. Lots of shrimp & crab, wonderful greens! On the way back to L.A. stopped at Taco Temple, in Morro Bay for a chili verde taco- two soft tortillas piled with baby greens and a super cilantro dressing-huge and wonderful! Unusual variety of "made on premise" desserts also. Next stop- Nipomo for Little Jocko's and a B.B.Q beef sand. Sliced beef in a mild but great sauce on a fresh seeded bun an a real ice cream butterscotch shake> All were reco's from Chowhound, in the past and could not be better! Thanks to all!
