When I visited Japan a few years ago I had a local dish in the city of Morioka, which originated in Korea but after some changes and time is known as "Morioka Reimen."
Morioka reimen is a broth served cold with chewy glass noodles, slices of beef and boiled egg on top, vegetables, kimchi, and a slice of watermelon. Sounds bizarre but it was really delicious and was wondering if anyone has heard of this dish and if anywhere in the Bay Area serves it. Thanks!
