What's the difference btwn these two joints? Is it worth it to try both on the same trip?
I'm going to Montreal for 3 nights in July. Between those 2, Au Pied du Cochon, and Maison Publique, which would you skip? I've been to Au Pied du Cochon so I'm likely to skip that, and I already made a reservation for Joe Beef. Any other recommendation for unique Montreal dining?
I eat pretty much anything, and coming from DC, we have a good variety of restaurants but nothing like foie gras centric bistros, or good seafood platters (plateau de fruits de mer).
Also, what are some interesting lunch/brunch options? Ideally I'd eat seafood for lunch/brunch (don't generally eat breakfast/bread/pasta) and then foie gra for dinner.
Staying in Old Montreal, will rely on biking or subway as transportation. Price not an issue. While I enjoy drinking, I'm not a wino, so a proper wine list is not important to me.
