The Misguided Return of the Crappy Drink

Quick read out of this month's Esquire from David Wondrich. It prompted me to open up the liquor cabinet and make myself a very pedestrian Sidecar with Courvoisier VS, some plastic bottle triple sec, and a couple of fresh squeezed lemons. I had two of them and felt strangely wealthy afterwards, having not shelled out $22 + tip at a bar for some kid's "take" (so tired of hearing that) on a Sidecar.

I paired my drink with a carnitas burrito on my patio.
