after inquiring about this park slope restaurant because of kids' cooking classes (for which i signed up my kid), we decided to check it out before seeing spideyman. it was wonderful! simple and clean and good service (my only critique is that they cleaned up the table TOO fast..i like to sit a bit. the menu was simple with a decent amount of choices. i had a market salad (good vinagrette)and then a poached halibut with a champagne vinagrette (i had it on the side and used it sparingly) with warm cabbage slaw (it was great!) and some market veggies (which they subbed instead of the taters). my husband went for the onion veloutte (sp?) with grilled shrimp and rice. i tasted his and thought it very nice. they made a very good cocktail too! we didn't stay for dessert but we will definitely go back. there was nothing we didn't like. in fact, i'd have to say it was the nicest meal we've had in the slope in a while. simple, well-prepared, good service. what more is there?
