Up until now, we have been buying a lot of canned goods. Beans, tomatoes/tomato paste, tuna, olives, pumpkin, corn. It's been so convenient--but with all of the information about BPA and cans, we're trying to minimize as much as possible.
Beans are easy enough. I'll just have to do more advance planning. Tuna is harder; we prefer to buy the better varieties, which I haven't seen in package form. Corn I'll start to buy frozen (when not in season) and olives are readily available in jars. That leaves tomatoes/tomato paste and pumpkin. I have seen the tomato paste in tubes. Any ideas for tomatoes and pumpkin?
