Ming's Noodle Cafe, 3447 Kennedy Road, Scarborough " - House made Chili-oil better than eat-in food!!

Charles Yu | Jan 24, 201906:24 PM     8

This long running, hence run down, pseudo hole-in-the-wall, Hong Kong style cafe caters for patrons who don't mind lousy service and seeking passable one-plate comfort food meal or discounted price afternoon tea packages. However, for me, their eat-in food is secondary.

My primary objective for visiting is to get their 'House Made Chili-Oil '!! - IMHO, one of the BEST rendition in town! A notch below a normal but pricey XO-chili sauce due to no shredded dried scallops being used. However, their recipe of using chopped up fried minced sun dried shrimps and garlic in aromatic chili-oil, elevated it to a level that is way better than most chili-oil found in GTA Chinese restaurants!

Super tasty and at $5.95, super value!
