Finally tried R.U.B. last night.
We were sitted right away (about 9:30pm).
We had called before we left home to see what they were out of...at that point it was just pastrami and duck. Fifteen minutes when we arrived, no more sausage, st.louis ribs, or brisket...we were disappointed, but decided to stay.
We ended up with the burnt ends and rib tips with baked beans and fries. All our meat were fatty cuts (which we knew when we ordered them), but none-the-less delicious and plentiful. The fries were cruchy and had a nice kicky seasoning sprinkled on top. The beans were sweeter than I usually like, but not bad. They have a decent selection of beer on tap that they serve in plastic cups. Would also like to see some dessert options added (I think they only have fried oreos currently).
The service was friendly and prompt. The decor leaves MUCH to be desired. The front space is a little more lively, the back is dreadfully drab. We couldn't figure out why they did absolutly NOTHING with the space.
I look forward to sampling the other items on the menu...next time I'll try to get their earlier. Rest assured, they know how to cook their 'cue!!
