Massie's -South Glens Falls

SLAP | Aug 13, 2001 10:30 AM

Went upstate this weekend and had dinner on Saturday night at Massies on Main Street in South Glens Falls. This is a classic Italian establishment which has been there for many, mnay years. I used to go as a kid so was excited to have it again. My Ma ordered the best thing they make, Baked Ziti with a sausage sauce. I had the spaghetti with Meatballs and My Sis had the Veal Parmagian(not that crazy about the veal). My Aunt had Lamb Chops. so-so. They give you a ton of food and the total including drinks and dessert was $84. Ths included soup salad, garlic brad, chopped liver spread and some antipasto.

We stopped in the bar after dinner and I had a absythe with water. They had a bottle that had to be thirty years old. Couldn't believe it when I saw it. At 120 proof though its not going bad any time soon.

If you around the area I'd highly recommend this place.
and don;t miss the baked ziti!
