I'm thinking of heading to coastal Maine at some point this winter. Any place from Kennebunkport to Bar Harbor, but probably not Portland. I'm one of those who likes the coast when it's gray and bleak. But haven't been to Maine this time of year before.
My quandry/question is this. A big part of coastal Maine for me is searching out lobster pounds, fried clameries, lobster roll shacks and the like. I'm assuming most places close after the "season." Any areas up there that time of year where I won't have to choose between starving to death, McD's or fancy upscale restaurants.
Thanks for any info.
