Lunch at Stars BBQ in Sausalito/Marin City

There was an earlier thread on Star's BBQ which opened earlier this year in the shopping center just west of 101 at the northern Sausalito exit. I went then and found the brisket tough and with not much flavor. I went back today and had their "pork ribs" sandwich ($6.75), which of course wasn't really a sandwich but was three meaty spare ribs (I asked for the mild sauce on the side) and forgettable wonder-type wheat bread. The ribs were really good, meaty, tender but not "decomposing-tender". You had to bite them off the bone which is my preference. The flavor was fine, with probably a light rub on them. Nothing extreme is spicing, just good meat well smoked and cooked. The mild sauce was OK, nothing special, but it's really all about the meat. Maybe I'll try the brisket again...
