Lunch/Brunch Pit Stop in Burlington, VT

NY Chowhound driving to Montreal via Route 7/Route 89. Meeting friends in Burlington for Saturday lunch/brunch. We'll be 6-8 people, including 2 12 year olds (one who will eat anything) and a 5 year old. We need a reasonably quick, but chowish, place for lunch/brunch around 1-1:30 this Saturday. Really prefer something just off of 7 or 89; don't want a big detour (sorry, Burlington!).

A quick search of prior posts reveals the following possibilities:

Oasis Diner
Smokejacks
Penny Cluse Cafe
Al's French Frys
Henry's Diner
Leunig's
Bove's
NECI Commons
Red Onion
Vermont Pub & Brewery
A Single Pebble
Five Spice Cafe
Parima
Stone Soup
City Market
New World Tortilla

I would appreciate any comments to help decide where to go, esp. re kid-friendliness, speed (want good eats but must hit the road), proximity to 7 or 89 (seems like the Church St. places will fit this), size (to seat 6-8), and (most of all!) food experience (with need to accomodate varied palates)!!!

Finally, any comments on Silver Palace Chinese restaurant in South Burlington? (Our friends' suggestion....)

Thanks!
