Hi, getting ready to bake this lumberjack cake for a birthday and have a query about something (I don't bake too often!)
The instructions say to bake the cake untill the skewer comes out clean, and then put the topping on and bake for a further 20 minutes. Wouldn't my cake be over cooked if I baked it for 20 minutes extra after the skewer came out clean?
don't want to wreck a birthday cake for someone! :P
