anybody been to this new restaurant that took over the old i fratelli site at Hyde and Green? i passed by on my way home after tday dinner [food so-so, but we had a tap-dancing grandma!]
Judging by my aging eyes unable to read their small-print menu [and the decor], looks like they are going for hipsterville.
Reminds me of my one dinner at mc2 with my mother and aunt. My aunt asked for a white zinfadel. None available, but the waitress deftly suggested a white wine with cassis. Wonderful meal.
Is Silks at the Mandarin Hotel any good? I ate there a few years ago [when my mom and aunt staying there[ and found the food overly fussy.
