It's Ok because I wouldn't bother. After a long time away from one of our favorite watering holes, we had cause to get together once more for friend coming back home. We arrived at Tipperary's Pub on 16th Ave Calgary for a gathering. The poor waitress could only take two drink orders at a time. If you're a group of 20 this can take a while. Usually we like to stick to pub food at a pub so we ordered their specialties Tipperary's Shepard's Pie and Beef Burger. Usually if you order a resturant's signature dish you should get an impressive dish. That's what we thought anyway. We were the first ones there but the last ones to get our order. We asked the waitress if we were going to get our entres and she said she would get them now because they were ready. I think they were sitting there for a while. The Buttermilk Mashed potatoes tasted like something out of a box. It was actually drowned in what they called "rich burgundy brown sauce." I think it was to mask the taste of the bison if that's what it was. I'm pretty sure I tasted ketchup in there as well. DH had a simple burger which came out completely charred and hard as a puck. Since Dh was going to hockey anyway, I suggested he take his burger with him. When he called the waitress over to show her the burger. She replied she would have to check with the kitchen to see if she could get it off the bill. He picked the puck and handed to her and she made a face and said,"Ewwwww I'm not touching that!" So DH whacks the patty on the side of the plate to demonstrate how hard it is. There's no arguing that. Ok so they do pretty good wings (a little small) but service is horrible as there were 2 waitresses hanging around the kitchen and the one waitress who was working had trouble taking orders. To make matters worse, she refused to give separate bills and refused to take a credit card to pay off a portion of the bill. We had to dig for cash to pay for our part of the meal. Good help is hard to find.
