We enjoyed a very nice meal at Charlie Palmer's Dry Creek Kitchen last Thursday evening. The tasting dinner for two was included with our room.
We were promptly seated at a very nice table near the back of the restaurant. We ordered a bottle of the Pinot Noir 01 "Gary Farrell Russian River Valley" wine to accompany our dinner.
The tasting dinner consisted of the following courses:
Crispy Striped Bass with Jerusalem Artichoke Sauce and American Sturgeon Cavair ( wonderful)
Pan Seared King Salmon over Puree of Green Lentils, Yellow Chanterelle Mushroom Sauce ( very nice flavors and beautifully presented)
Sea of Cortez Scallop over Almond Piquillo Pesto with Sugar Snap Pea Sauce ( very nice and cooked to perfection)
Crispy California Quail with Sonoma County Baby Lettuce and Wild Game Jus ( this was my husband's favorite!)
Grilled Natural Beef Hanger Steak with Baby Chioggia Beets and Blue Cheese Sauce ( very nice, I'm not a big beef eater, but this was very good)
Each course was spaced very nicely and the entire meal took over two hours.
Desserts ( which were included in the price) were the kumquat cake with caramel frosting and orange ice cream which was delicious!
This is priced at $69/pp and is a great way to be able to sample the meny items. A very memorable meal at the Dry Creek Kitchen. Service was professional and attentive. We will definitely return.
A visit to Healdsburg would not be complete without a meal at this great place. Bon Appetit! ***kim***
