So, this may spark some conversation. We have gotten take out from this locally owned restaurant for a very long time, close to two decades. Last few times I've gotten this food it has been at one of the other three with the same food as I was in that area on errands. But this time, I ordered from our usual place and the food is not good anymore. It wasn't rotten or spoiled but of much lesser quality so very disappointing.
My son tells me he had warned me before not to order from there anymore.
When I had gone to pick up the food, I noticed a sign by their register re: refunds. Saying, if you want a refund, you need to bring the entire dish in or most of it and on the same day. That made me raise my eyebrows. Never seen that kind of sign before there.
But then we got it home and realized it just wasn't good anymore and it's all changed and for the worse. We ate it, though.
Thing is, we've been going there a long time and we saw their son grow up to a man, always doing homework behind the counter and they kind of knew us and our orders. So this is sad to me and I don't want to see a locally owned restaurant go out of business. Not entirely sure if it's the same owners as I didn't recognize anyone there that day.
I noticed in comparing menus that their prices are a little less than the other restaurants but I'd rather pay more than lowering the quality of the food.
So, would you explain to a previously favored restaurant why you don't want to order from them anymore or just don't order from them anymore?
