Liqueurs by Weight?

ArtShapiro | Mar 6, 2015 12:24 PM

I've seen a couple of interesting Grasshopper-based recipes that call for the usual creme de menthe and creme de cacao by weight, e.g. 3/4 ounce creme de menthe.

That seems a bit ridiculous for a liquid; I don't think my cooking scale would be accurate for such a small weight.

Before I go out and purchase an Ohaus triple beam balance from a chemical supply house, can anyone provide a translation to more common volume units such as tablespoons? A web search didn't immediately pan out, although I didn't try extremely hard before posting here in Chowhound.
