Thanks for those who suggested I try My Linh during my recent visit to Albany. After a little difficulty figuring out how to get there (kept winding up on I-787 when I wanted to get on Southern Blvd toward Delaware) I arrived at around 8pm to find the place surprisingly empty, with only two occupied tables. (Perhaps Albany eats early?)
Knowing that I would have the duck that was so temptingly described on here, I looked for an appetizer to go with it, and decided to go for the special calamari salad that the waiter recommended. Indeed, it was quite good, though not as hot as I would have liked (spice-wise). But the duck was excellent, very subtle sauce and perfectly prepared. My only surprise was to find that it had a coating of some sort on it; I had expected the crispiness to come from the unadulterated duck skin.
