Limoncello, North End

Finally tried this place with a friend who has very narrow choices of what he'll eat (meat and Italian). We thought about Fiore even tho their prices are a little high, it was a perfect nite for their roofdeck. But there was a private party for another hour and the web site I'd seen for Limoncello made it look very reasonable (http://www.weseatyou.com/restaurants/...). Too bad that's about $2-5 out of date. The north end was jumping early on a Mon. nite, supposedly some governor from Missouri was coming into Limoncello with a large party and his security guys. Anyway, we ate there even tho prices were higher than we'd planned and I started with the caprese salad with decent not great tomatoes, mozzarella and basil. They had a special w/ buffalo moz. but I went basic for $9. I ordered the Rosette Pasta With Montasio Cheese, Prosciutto and White Truffle Oil ($19). It looked like 3 filled puff pastries, the pasta is shaped like flowers (hence the name) and came in a pink cream sauce which was pretty tasty and very rich. Didn't really notice truffle oil but enjoyed it. Friend had chicken bracciolettini served with veggies that he licked clean. Bread basket and water were alwalys refilled. Was surprised to see that glasses of wine were just your basic 4 choices of house wines. Employees were almost all Italian, our waiter was really fun. Good meal but it seems more and more impossible to find pasta for <$15.
