A note of thanks. After reviewing this board, we dined at Limon on our recent trip to SF(from LA). What an awesome meal! The 4 of us thoroughly enjoyed the food, the service, the decor. Only complaint was that it was loud, but that was the only drawback. Our waiter was efficient and very helpful in pointing out the traditional dishes and explaining some of the ingredients. The ceviche choices were amazing, and we were happy with the 'ceviche limon'. Empanadas were tasty and perfectly cooked, not greasy. My duck with potatoes was perfectly cooked. My husband's lomo saltado (reommended from the list) was excellent! Our guests were nervous about their foray into South American cuisine. They are now ready to venture back for more!

Thanks again for helping out an LA lurker. You are so lucky to have the quality of restaurants up North. Thanks for sharing!
