For some reason, we've both been craving lemon bars for the Superbowl. After holding on to Joanne Chang's recipe for "Best-Selling Lemon Bars", I assumed they would have them at Flour. Husband returned from a first visit to Flour lemon-bar-less. "They looked at me like I was crazy" - checked the magazine, it's from 2002 - but he did get some wonderful oatmeal raisin cookies and donuts (thanks to the Chowhound who mentioned these!). Anyways, he hit a couple of other places, thought $1.99 apiece at Whole Foods was insane, and finally ended up with dry tasteless dough encasing bland filling from Bova's. Where should we go next time when I'm too lazy to make them? Preferably downtown Boston/North End/South End. Thanks!
